Author and racing legend Phil Hill has passed away.
Like many enthusiasts, hobbyists, fans, and professionals, I would not be where I am today were it not for Hill's insightful prose. He paved the way for Mario Andretti, Scott Speed, and generations of American racing hopefuls past and future.
Phil will be sorely missed.
