This is an actual, customer video of a 9.79 sec. 1/4 mile run in one of Tym Switzer's 997 Sledgehammer Porsches.
I'm a bit at a loss for words seeing this launch from this angle, since the only place I've ever seen acceleration like that is the old Bugs Bunny/Road Runner cartoons. Still, I wonder if I should take some issue with that name??
Ah well - I know Switzer to be an ace guy (he's a RENN dealer/distributor, after all) so I won't take the "Sledgehammer" name as a direct attack on either the RENN or AMG (for now).
9.79 ... scary.
