You know Ron Dennis is going to hate this, but - much as I agree with Ronnie's assessment of the big bug - this Lego rendition of Bugatti's million-dollar Veyron supercar is four kinds of wicked kickass.

A Lego Veyron would be trick enough for most blogs, sure - but this is Sunshine, so we expect more ... and this little bit of plastic awesome delivers with a FULLY FUNCTIONAL seven-speed sequential gearbox, a retractable hardtop, and active aero!

This is the SIKKEST Lego model I have ever seen.

I'm not sure how this guy in the video did it. I don't know if he used LDraw to design the thing before ordering and organizing all the needed parts in that clear tackle box. I'm not even sure that thing's real.

What I do know: Mike needs to build me one.

That's right, it's the Brabham fan car ... in Lego.

This little beauty was making the rounds on the major car-geek sites last month, but with Mike's recent trip to the Houston Auto Show in the can and a visit to the Chicago show coming up this week, I figured it was time to post it.

For those of you not "in the know", the Brabham fan car was arguably the magnum opus of Gordon Murray's design career, and statistically the most successful car design in the history of Formula 1.

Fresh from the pages of Super Punch, this rocket-powered garbage truck is 7 kinds of awesome, and just the kind of thing my buddy Mike would love to have in his office. Behind closed doors, I bet he'd even make space noises and fly it around the room. Maybe he'd make a "beep beep" sound as it back up ... like your mom.

OUCH! Sorry, that's not me - that's too much Geekologie slipping to the surface (I love that guy!).

I wonder if they're garbage-powered, like Doc Brown's DeLorean or that Honda I wrote about on the GO blogs ... this might be a good article for GO after all!
