First shown at last weekend's Wondercon, this is the first trailer for the upcoming Thundercats reboot, which looks to be on-par with the 2002 MOTU re-launch ... which is to say: pretty freakin' awesome.

I'll be looking forward to the new show, and will probably do another "Awesome 80's Childhood" post about it in the next few days ... you know, for the poor bastards who grew up later and/or weren't allowed to watch cartoons.

The late Hunter Thompson once wrote "When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.", and there are few things weirder than Canadian humor.

All the same, I found the webcomic above strangely appropriate to this little blog - and I hope you'll agree that it's a great way to start off what promises to be the strangest year in automotive history.

It's not a car, and it's certainly NOT Florida (we don't stand for this kind of nonsense - we voted in a Bush governor twice!) but what it is, is Absolutely hilarious.

I know, I know - I should keep it to cars and racing and blah blah (else this blog quickly becomes a lame sort of "ScooterScoop Jr.") but after THIS and THIS, you really should expect this sort of thing.

This is probably one for Rickfert, but I thought it was pretty neat. The MB news blog eMercedesBenz posted a new feature article outlining the history of Mercedes-Benz' appearances in popular comics. I don't recognize any of the comics, but some of the cars (especially the big MB fin-tail!) look really good in 2D.
