I just posted this article about the new-for-2012 Mercedes S350 Bluetec over on my other blog, Gas 2.0. Usually that would be that, since what I post there rarely makes it over here (and vice-versa).

All the same, this diesel Benz (above) fills me with outrageous desires.

I first stumbled across Terrence's BlueR35 blog back in May, and immediately fell for his Bay Blue Nissan.

The car's owners are currently looking for sponsors to help with some of the build costs, but even as it sits, the car is beautiful. Congrats, guys! I'm super jealous.

This would have been SO PERFECT for Godzilla theme week - ARGH!

This R35 - painted in the same gorgeous R34 blue that made the that car a Gran Turismo favorite - is so splediffic and sectacutastic, in fact, that I may just make every week Godzilla theme week!

Of course, if I did that, I'd be the GTR Blog, and there's already that (Hi, Kris!).

Last week was kind of a downer, no?

Phil Hill died, Paul Newman took his last laps in a racecar, I subjected you to an opinionated eco-rant, there was no F1 race - really, the list goes on and On and ON ...

THIS WEEK will be better, I promise.

REASONS THIS WEEK IS BETTER THAN LAST WEEK

1. Phil Hill can't die on us again.

2. It's a 4-day week (for most of us).

I'll think of a third reason, soon - maybe a fourth and a fifth, too! For now, I'm stealing a page from the Autoblog and posting some of the more influential cartoons of our (my) youth. My 'toons will be posted soon, links to Autoblog's below.
